I use Carmichael’s Cuticle cream from Vermont Country Store, on my nails and cuticles. It helps keep them soft and stops cracking. -Jane M

I use coffee goat soap! Or any homemade soap made with coffee. I have two friends who make coffee soap and from what I have experience they both work great. No black fingers or cracked hands. -Susan JH

I’ve been using a mixture that my husband made for me; He whips 100% pure shea butter with coconut oil, magnesium oil and lavender oil. I use it before I go to sleep because the magnesium oil helps with cramps. The whipped shea butter mixture makes your skin very soft. The lavender oil helps you fall asleep. It has been a lot easier cleaning my hands since I started using this. -Debbie B

The Orange Hand Cleaner for mechanics works great! And for moisturizing I use Lanikai Bath and Body’s lotions! They use all natural and organic ingredients and are made in Hawaii.  Their lotions are the only ones that never leave me feeling greasy. -Heather J

I really like beeswax lotion bars. There is a local soap maker near me, that makes them. The beeswax coats your hands longer and can last a few hand washings, as long as you’re not washing your hands with detergent too often. -Krishna RS

I use wintergreen oil and coconut oil combination. Also a good soak in epsom salts is wonderful too. -Margie M

I have neuropathy in my hands. Anything that makes you tingle makes it much worse. I also have icthousis (very dry skin) I use salt or sugar and either almond oil, coconut oil, or olive oil. It helps keep my hands smooth and soft. It works great on rough heels, elbows, and knees too. -Linda TM

I finally tried the ACV and Lysterine soak on my feet and hands. I bought Lysterine a couple of years ago to try it, but never did as I heard it was an urban legend. I could not believe how much gross dead skin it removed! I now feel so clean! It really helped to clean up cuticles and under the nails, and soften calluses. My hands and feet are so smooth and nice now.

1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup Lysterine (any flavour)
1/2 cup very warm water

Soak 10 mins, pumice or brush rinse and repeat as needed. -M Jean FM

Olive or coconut oil mix with pumice then Dr Bronner’s castille soap soak for a few minutes hands smell minty fresh finish with “Glove in Bottle” or “Corn Huskers” hand lotion. -Glori R

I slather “Gloves in a Bottle” on first, before starting work. -Carolyn E
